 In the poem atmatran, the poet Rabindranath Tagore pleds to the god to empower him of protecting himself. He does not demand the almighty to protect him from the various lows in his life nor does he ask the lord to less the burden of responsibilities, but he wants the god to enable him of bearing all what happens in his life. Also he asks god to make him able to face all the tough situations without feeling helpless..

 अंत में कवि अनुनय करता है कि चाहे सब लोग उसे धोखा दे, सब दुख उसे घेर ले पर ईश्वर के प्रति उसकी आस्था कम न हो, उसका विश्वास बना रहे। उसका ईश्वर के प्रति विश्वास कभी न डगमगाए।
