Growing apical bud inhibit growth of lateral bud .name the phenomenon and its effect.

Dear student,
The phenomena is called apical dominance. The effect of apical bud over lateral bus is that the growing apical bud inhibits the cell division and cell enlargement in lateral bud, thus inhibiting the growth of lateral buds.
