Had the British not defeated the combined forces of Awadh, Bengal and the Mughals, the course of Indian history would be different. Experts can you please explain this in a brief paragraph ?????

If the British not defeated the combined forces of Awadh, Bengal and the Mughals, the course of Indian history would be different. Because after the battle of Buxar, the British got the Diwani rights of Bengal. Bihar And Orissa. Shuja-ud-Daulah was made to pay 50 lakhs. This provided them more money for further expansion of the British empire. Also, it was very conclusive battle in our history which exposed the rulers' weakness. This, gave them more confidence and they understood that they need not fear from Indian rulers and they did not followed the commands given by the Nawabs.

Hope that helps!!.........

But the battle of Buxar wasn't really a turning point for the British company. It was the second Anglo-Maratha war of 1802-03. This gave them their empire of Hindostan and Marathas lost Delhi.

If the British had not defeated the combine forces of Awadh, Bengal and the Mughals the course of the Indian history would be different because the british wouldn’t have got the 50 lakh rs and the diwani of Bengal, bihar and Orissa so the british wouldn’t have had enough revenue to start with the second round of expansion of the british empire and since the British lost the battle they would have lost the right to trade in india by the command of the Indian rulers.
