Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden, whose length is 4m more than its width,is 36m. Find the dimensions of the garden.

Let the width of the garden be x metres.

Then length = (x+4) metres

Half the Perimeter = 36m (given)

So, perimeter of the garden = (2*36) = 72metres

2x = 36-4

x = 32/2 = 16 metres
