Poem- A tiger in the zoo

Dear Student

a) The tiger hears the sound of the cars honking outside the zoo. Therefore, the tiger could not rest at night.
b) The tiger stares at the brilliant stars because it hopes that in the future, it will be relocated to its natural habitat. Just the sky and stars are elements of nature, the tiger is longing to go back into the wild. Therefore, the poet uses these words to show the relation to nature.
c) The tiger might be thinking about the world outside and all the times that he has been outside in the wild.
d) The word which means 'looks intently' is stares.

Regards.
