- Energy generated from the earth's interior drives endogenic geomorphic processes.
- This energy varies with depth and thus creates a geothermal gradient.
- Thus at different depths, lithosphere experiences different magnitudes of energy.
- This results in the deformation of lithospheric crust - faults and folds (Diastrophism).
- It may also lead to the surface manifestation of earth's internal energy in the form of volcanoes at certain places.
- Endogenetic or tectonic forces act non uniformly. So, geomorphic structures formed by endogenetic forces are uneven.
