hey i need to make a  project on the topic-to detect the presence of adulterants in sugar.

please provide me articles related  with the topic as soon as possible..

Hi Yashshri,

For the project, you could follow these guidelines which are:
·  Give a brief introduction of adulterants.
·  Kind of adulterants
·  Adulterants in sugar
Commonly used adulterants are very small white stones, bone powder, chalk powder, alum, etc .
To start with you can test:
1.  Solubility test-if do not dissolve and remain in he same form. It can be stone .
2.  Insoluble part can be test for carbonates.(dilute HCl test)
·  In the end you can write the negative effects of adulterants.

Hope it helps.
Best of Luck!
