In the chapter Data Handling, lesson 1, in example 4:
Find 2 numbers between 2/5 and 1/2
So can we solve this sum by making these fractions into like
fractions??? We can make it 4/10 and 5/100 Then again we can
multiply these fractions by 10 and it will become 40/100 &
50/100 Can we do this???

Yes, you can solve it by the said method
But keep 1 thing in mind 1/2 is equal to 5/10 not 5/100 as you
mentioned
Now, on multiplying 
4/10 and 5/10 both by 10, we get

40/100 and 50/100
Now, two numbers between 40/100 and 50/100 are: 41/100, 42/100,
43/100 etc
