Hi, Please answer this question.

The side of a rhombus is 10 cm and one of its diagnols is 12 cm. Find its perimeter and area

Let ABCD be the given rhombus

Here, AB = BC = CD = DA = 10 cm

BD = 12 cm

As diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles.

∠AOD = 90°

In ΔAOD,

AD2 = OA2 + OD2  [Pythagoras theorem]

Perimeter of rhombus ABCD = 4 × AD = 4 × 10 = 40 cm
