At the uncle with the camera. A sweet face,
My mother?s that was before I was born.
And the sea, which appears to have changed less,
washed their terribly transient feet.?
a. What does the poet mean by ?smile through their hair??
b. What has not changed over a period of time & why?

a) the meaning of the line "smile through their hair" is that when they stood still for that photograph on the beach....their was wind blowing and it was a brezzy evening due to which their hair were coming on their face...while they were smiling .
