1) Steroid Hormones: Made up of Lipids Example: Testosterone,
Estrogens
2) Amine Hormones: Made up of Amine group Example: T3,
T4
3) Peptide Hormones: Made up of Amino acid residues Example:
Oxytocin
4) Glyco-protien Hormones: Made up of carbohydrates conjugated with
Proteins Example: LH, TSH
5) Eicosanoids Hormones: Made up of fatty acids Example:
Prostaglandins
