How are mycoplasma able to pass through bacterial filters while other bacteria can't ?

Dear student,
Mycoplasma has become widely recognised as the smallest bacteria and cannot be retained by 0.2µm sterilizing filters.
Due to their small size mycoplasma can penetrate a 0.2µm rated filter where as other bacteria cannot pass through.
