How are non -medicated IUDs different from hormone releasing IUDs.Give examples

Non medicated intra uterine devices-  Those devices which either retard the sperm motility or have the spermicidal effect are known as non medicated intra uterine devices. It includes lippes loop, plastic coils etc

Hormone releasing intra uterine devices- Those devices which release certain hormones  that alter the hormonal balance in the female body and prevent the conception are known as medicated intra uterine devices. For example- Progestasert, LNG-20 etc
