How are the absolute measure of dispersion different from the relative measure?give two example of each

Dear Student
Absolute measures are those measures that express the dispersion in the same unit in which the data is collected like meter, centimeter, rupees, etc. Hence, they cannot be used for comparison of the dispersion of different data sets. Measures like Range, Mean Deviation, Quartile Deviation, Standard Deviation, etc. come in this category Relative measures are free from the units of measurement and are used for the comparison of the different data sets. Measures like coefficient of quartile deviation, the coefficient of mean deviation, the coefficient of variations etc. come under this category.
