 Boron shows sp2 hybridisation is complexes like BCl3, BF3.
B has 3 outermost electrons in its valence shell.
Cl has one electron in its outermost shell.
Thus Boron forms 3 bond pairs with Cl as shown below.
And the hybridisation becomes sp2

the geometry of the molecule is trigonal planar.
