How brutush justified the killing of caesar?

Brutus asks the people of Rome to listen to him with patience. He tells them that he also loved Caesar and was his friend but he loved Rome more than he loved Caesar. That is the reason why he murdered him. He says that Caesar was honourable, valiant and fortunate but he was very ambitious too. It was the reason why he killed him.
