how can desert cause soil erosion?

Please note that erosion always occurs in a region due to various environmental factors, and not due to a particular region. So deserts do not cause erosion, rather desert regions are more prone to soil erosion. This means that soil erosion can take place very easily in desert regions. The main reason for this is that the surface plantation or vegetation is quite less in deserts. We know that plant roots firmly bind the soil. In the absence of plants, soil becomes loose. So soil in the desert region can be easily carried by the action of wind, resulting in erosion.
