how can exoplasmic membrane be distinguished cytoplasmic cell membrane

Dear student, Depending on the type of lipid and protien playing in the cell , they will be placed in the exoplasmic or cytopcytoplasmic surface of the cells by specific enzymes. That way both surfaces can be distdistinguished . Regards
