How can hybridisation produce an improved variety of a crop?

Hybridisation is a way incorporating desirable characters into crop variety is hybridisation which means crossing between genetically dissimilar plants. This hybridisation can be done intervarietal (between different varieties), interspecific (between two different species of the same genus) or intergeneric (between different genera).

With the help of hybridisation we are able to get desirable properties of crops. As these crops are good the produce is also a good one. This means it transfer the good genes of a crop into another.
