how can sampling errors be reduced explain with example

Dear student, Sampling errors can be reduced by two methods - 1) By increasing sample size i.e. selecting more subjects to observe, both sampling error and sample size are inversely related i.e. when sample size increases sampling errors decreases. 2) By Stratification i.e. arranging things into categories For example - If population contains dissimilar units, then the population is categorized into different groups containing similar units, and these groups are called strata. From each strata, sub-sample is selected in a random manner. Thus all groups are represented in the sample and the sampling error is reduced. Hope it helps. Regards
