How can the general climate of an area be described with the help of lines of the lines of latitudes?

The lines of latitude divide the earth into three heat zones - The torrid zone , The temperate zone and The frigid zone. In the torrid zone the sun rays are direct . In the temperate zone the sun rays are slanting and in the frigid zone the sun never shines.
The lines of latitude indicate the general climate of an area by applying the principal of these thermal zones of the earth .
