How can we control ourselves when our emotions dominate us?

Dear student.

There is no exact way which can efficiently control your emotions. Though there are a number of ways that might distract your brain to some other way, which may help you. Emotions in mainly controlled by limbic system of human brain. Limbic system consists of hypothalamus, hippocampus and the amygdala. Ways to distract your brain are:

1. Avoid everything that triggers a particular emotions.
2. Get involved in some hobbies or any positive work.
3. Replace your thoughts.
4. Exercise, yoga, music can also control emotions upto some extent.
