how can we find whether the given coordinate compound is paramagnatic or dimagnetic in nature?what are the other factors on which magnetic properties depends?

The magnetic properties in coordination compounds depend on the presence of unpaired electrons present in the metal ion.  The number of unpaired electrons is influenced by the type of ligand that complexes with the metal ion. Strong ligands like ammonia, cyanide and carbonyl can force unpaired electrons to pair up and often form diamagnetic complexes. Weak ligands like fluoride are force the electrons to pair up and form paramagnetic complexes.
