How can we justify that the title "A Question of Trust" is appropriate for the story?

Solution:-

Horace Danby trusted the words of the lady who arrived at the house while he had gone to rob a house at Shotover Grange. He did not interrogate her and she successfully duped him. She was a thief herself and not the real owner of the house. Danby let his guard down and left his finger prints on the safe. Therefore, he was caught later by the police because of trusting the words of the lady. If he had interrogated her, he would have discovered that she was a thief too. Therefore, the title seems apt for the story.
