how can we measure mean in case of open end series
Dear student,
Open end series is a series in which lower limit of first class and upper limit of last class in not known. To find out the mean of open end series, we need to assume the lower and upper limit of first and last class respectively on the basis of the given class intervals.
For example : let series be
Here the class intervals are uniform i.e. 10, so we can assume other class intervals as

For example : let series be

Here the class intervals are uniform i.e. 10, so we can assume other class intervals as
0-10 | 10-20 | 20-30 | 30-40 | 40-50 |
