For this activity you should have a telescope or a binocular
then early in the morning when the sun rises we can see only a star at that time next to the sun which is venus.

You can view the planets at evening and sometimes even in the night some months earlier I participated in my local SETI starviewing day and we saw Venus, Jupiter and Saturn using the awesome app Star Walk 2
