In order to separate a mixture of potassium nitrate and potassium chloride,take different amount of each.
For example,let's take 5g of potassium nitrate band 7g of potassium chloride.Mix both of them and shake them together vigorously.
Let the mixture sit for a while and we can see that the potassium nitrate has settled in the bottom whereas potassium chloride has started to float on the top.
