How cytokinin plays a good role in accumulation of salts inside cells?

When plant undergoes the salt stress, cytokinin helps in accumulation of salts thereby helping the plant during stress, but little is know about the mechanism. In case of Arabidopsis it is found that cytokinin application helped in accumulation of salts in the shoot whereas there was no affect on the root of the plant undergoing salt stress. It does so through some regulating factors but exact mechanism still is a subject of research.
