Carter discovered that the resin put over tuts body had solidified and therefire he troed to put the mummy in the sun in oder for the resin to budge but nothing happened . Tthen he had to chisel our the mummy from the coffin in oder to remove it and get the coffin. He was subjected to continuous scrutiny because in the process of taking out the mummy his men severed almost every major joint and his head also had to be detached.

Carter faced a lot of difficulties in separating Tut's mummy from its coffin. First of all, he tried to use the intense heat of the Egyptian sun to loosen the resins. For several hours he set the mummy outside in blazing sunshine that heated it to 149 degrees Fahrenheit. Nothing budged. Finally, he had to chisel the consolidated material away from beneath the limbs and trunk before it was possible to raise the king’s remains. King Tut's mummy was subjected to repeated scrutiny because the mummy and the gold artifacts inside his tomb remain the richest royal collection ever found and have become part of the pharaoh’s legend. Besides, Tut was the last pharaoh who had died very young mysteriously. So the researchers wanted to know the mysteries related to it.
