Evelyn turned profoundly deaf at a young age. But her grit and determination assisted her to fulfil her dream. She was able to lead a normal life and become a renowned musician. She was encouraged by the percussionist Ron Forbes and taught to feel the vibrations of music though her body. She got admitted to the Royal Academy of Music and won most of the awards there. She is an inspiration to all deaf children who feel they too can reach for the sky despite their disability.
