गिलहरियों का जीवन 2 साल से अधिक का नहीं होता है। गिल्लू को भी अपना अंत समय दिखने लगा। उसने खाना और पीना छोड़ दिया। मरने से पहले गिल्लू अपने घोंसले से उतर के लेखिका के बिस्तर तक आया और लेखिका के हाथों में उसका ठंडा होता हुआ शरीर था।  ​सुबह होते-होते गिल्लू ने अपने प्राण त्याग दिए​।

I'm typing this ans in english. U can convert it in hindi. (Ans.)Squirrels don't have a life span of more than 2 years and Gillu was also at the ending stage of his life. He was running high fever and had even refused to eat his favourite food at this stage. One late night when the writer was sleeping, Gillu came to her bed and held her finger as he held it in his childhood when he was counting his last breath. His hands were very cold so the writer woke up and tried to give warmth to him by switching on the heater but it didn't work and Gillu died in the amidst of that night to wake up in another life.
