  • Changez Khan and his forces first appeared in 1221, on the banks of River Indus.

  • King of Khuarzim then requested for refuge to the Delhi Sultan.
  • Iltutmish not wanting to get into direct conflict with the Mongols because of King of Khuarzim, denied him the refuge on the pretext that the Delhi weather was not suitable for him.
  • Meanwhile Changez Khan and his army became tired and unable to bear the heat of the summer, returned to the western banks of the River Indus, thus withdrawing the plans of Delhi onslaught.
