India and Arabia benefited each other through trade and the exchange of knowledge. The Arabs traded with India. They bought Indian products like textiles and spices and exported them to East Africa and Europe. The knowledge of ancient India also found its way to the Arabs. For example, the modern number system originated in India and reached Europe through the Arabs.
