How did Mesopotamian civilization influence other civilizations?

 Mesopotamia is known as the cradle of civilisation. It was the birthplace of indispensable inventions and discoveries. It was here that agriculture, a major historical invention started and paved the way for a stable settlement of human civilization. Irrigation was a major discovery along with agriculture. It discovered the means by which trenches allow water to flow along the ground to crops.They also invented the wheel, the plough, and the sailboat. Even, the first forms of writing came from the Mesopotamians  in the form of pictographs around 3100 BC. All these developments greatly influenced the other civilisations to progress.
