This way the innocent Mrs. S handed over all the silver cutlery, crockery and antiques to her for safekeeping. Later when the rightful owner, Mrs. S's daughter, came to acquire those things, she turned her down saying she owned them. This is how Mrs. S's innocence was taken advantage of into 'confiscating' her precious belongings.
