How did sandkrit reach Bengal

Dear Student,
During the 4th century BC, commercial ties were beginning to develop between Bengal and Magadha i.e. South Bihar which led to growing influence of Sanskrit language in Bengal. Moreover when the Gupta rulers began to settle Brahmanas in North Bengal after establishing political control over it, the linguistic influence of Sanskrit over the area became stronger. By the 7th century it was observed that Sanskrit was in use all over Bengal.
