how did sophie's father react when geoff told him about her meeting with danny casey?

Sophie's father gave him a disdained look when Geoff revealed the secret of Sophie's meeting with Danny Casey.  Instead of believing her story he ignored her and went about talking with Geoff about another football player and Danny's extraordinary abilities. When Sophie interrupted and said that Danny would buy her a boutique shop her father scolded her and sais that she will get into a load of troubles if she continues to daydream and connect them with her reality.
