How did the destruction of India's traditional industries benefit the British ?

British only looked for profits. they did so, by exploiting our natural resources. They used our raw materials to make machine made cheap goods and sold in India. This practise affected the traditional industries which were usually hand made. As the prices of machine made goods were too low. India industries could not compete with the same.
