How did the first world war speed up the process of industrialisation in India? Pls revert back ASAP.

The first world war speeded up the process of industrialisation in India in the sense that the war :

  • led to a huge rise in the defence expenditure of the Government of India.
  • created a demand for industrial goods (jute bags, cloth, rails) and caused a decline of imports from other countries into India.
