How did the narrator become the matchmaker

The narrator was so impressed by Ranga that he decided to find a good match for him. He chose Ratna for this. He arranged their meeting cleverly. He told rama rao to send ratna to fetch buttermilk. When ratna came , he called for ranga. He urged ratna to sing and meanwhile ranga came. Ranga got impressed by her singing. Then after a few days the narrator took ranga to the village astrologer who purposely told ranga that he is in love with a girl who has a name related to ocean, maybe ratna. Ranga agreed to this and confessed. then the narrator arranges their marriage. In this way, the narrator became the matchmaker.
