How did the servants of dr rajendra prasad treat Gandhiji?

Dear Student,

Gandhi was accompanied by a poor peasant, Rajkumar Shukhla on his visit to Rajendra Prasad’s house. Since the servants knew Shukhla to be a poor yeoman, they let him stay on the grounds with Gandhi, who they mistakenly assumed to be a peasant himself. However, Gandhi was not permitted to draw water from the well, because they thought he was an untouchable. They believed that even a few water droplets from his bucket would spoil the entire water source.
