How do archaeologists know that clath was used in the harrapan civilization

Dear Student,

Archaeologists knew that cloth was used in the Harappan civilization because the actual pieces of cloth that was found to be attached to the lid of a silver vase and some copper objects at the site of Mohenjodaro. Spindle whorls that were used to spin the thread was also unearthed. These spindle whorls were made of terracotta and faience and they were used to spin the thread. These evidences from the archaeological findings clearly indicate that cloth was used in the Harappan civilization.
