how do plants absorb water?explain the transpiration pull model?

Water is absorbed along with the mineral solutes, by the root hairs by osmosis. From root hairs water enters the vascular tissues and then it is finally transported to the various parts of the plant.
During transpiration water is evaporated through leaves, which generates a suction pull. This generated pull helps to pull water through absorption to greater heights in the trees. This pull is known as transpiration pull.
