Sun heats thr rock which later expands and while cooling some parts of rock are faster in cooling than other parts causing in cracks or breakdowns
harsh winds rub though the rocks 
hencen these factors cause the rocks ti brake in fine particles called soil

(I) The sun heats up rocks during the day so that they expand. At night, the rocks cool down and contract. This unequal expansion and contraction in different parts of the rock results in the formation of cracks. (II) Minute rock particles are carried away by the blowing wind and deposit elsewhere.
