How do the input and output powers in a transformer compare? State the assumption made.

In an ideal transformer we assume that there is no power loss and the input and the output power are equal so according to it
Vs=Vp (voltage)
Is=Ip (current)
So power is equal to(VI)
VsIs=VpIp

But in real the output power is less than the input power

Hope this helps
