The tributaries of the Ganga are major rivers in their own right. Yamuna itself is a tributary of the Ganga. Other major tributaries of the Ganga are Gomti, Son, Koshi, Alakananda etc.
On the other hand, tributaries of the Yamuna are small rivers like Tons, Hindon, Betwa and Ken. These are not very big rivers.
