How do you classify plant nutrients based on their quantitative requieements? Give two examples of each.

Dear student,
The plants get nutrients from three different sources: air, water, and soil. Plants get nutrients from the natural minerals found in rocks and soil. They also get nutrients from dead decaying organic matter and manures deposited in the soil.
On the basis of quantitative requirement plant nutrients are classified as:-
1) Macronutrients:- Those nutrients that are required in large amounts are called as macronutrients. Example:- Nitrogen and phosphorous etc

‚Äč2) Micronutrients:- Those nutrients that are required in minute amounts are called as micronutrients. Example:- Boron and copper etc.
