how do you think did early man become herders?

i think like this...They did not have much knowledge of animals that time. They must have found some goat or cow or sheep or dog.some must have killed them and thus they became unsuccessful, while,on the other hand, some men must have kept it with them by providing them food and shelter.in return ,as we all know, cow gave and goat gave milk, the dog guarded their house and sheep gave them wool.so then they understood the value of animals and so they started herding them(this is my way of thinking.

First early men started knowing about the animals. It also depended on how calm or aggresive they were. After that, they started to tame animals and then they looked after them This is how they became herders.

Around 8000BC the ice which had covered most parts of the earth in Palaeolithic and Mesolithic ages started to melt. This resulted in warmer climates which encouraged the spread of plants and animals to previously cold regions. People learnt to grow crops of grains, and vegetables. This resulted in agriculture. People also started taming animals as they realised how useful they were and so, the gradually became herders.

Hope it helps!
