How does an electrically polarized object differ from an electrically charged object?

Dear Student,

An electrically charged object is made from atoms that do not contain an equal number of electrons and protons, giving them a positive or negative charge, while an electrically polarised object is made from atoms that have a neutral charge but the electrons and protons have changed their orientation within each atom.

For example : A capacitor, Capacitor plates are charged.
Polarised object would be certain sunglasses.

because electrically polarized object means that it contains both positive as well as negative charge ...on the other hand electrically charged object means that it contains only one type of charge.
