how does mining causes pollution ????

Chemicals released from mining create many issues. The environmental impact of mining includes soil erosion, soil pollution, and loss of biodiversity. All methods of mining affect air quality. Mining can cause physical disturbances to the landscape. Water-pollution problems caused by mining are countless. During mining, the water used to flush the excess waste after minerals have been deposited is dumped in nearby lakes and rivers. It destroys the water creatures and the water nutrient balance.Coal mining results in destruction of fertile lands and also endangers the lives of miners.

Due to mining, the dust particles are emitted. This causes air pollution and respiratory diseases. Secondly, It also releases many harmful chemicals which seep underground with rainwater and makes the water in that area undrinkable. Lastly the land left abandoned after mining, becomes barren and no wildlife can survive there.
